PALESTINE Automobile Company Support SOS Children's Village in Bethlehem with a Solar Energy System
The Palestinian Automobile Company, in partnership with the parent company Hyundai Motors, announced the signing of an agreement to support the SOS Children's Village in Bethlehem by establishing a solar cell power generation system. The agreement was signed by the CEO of the Palestinian Automobile Company, Nader Hawari, and the Director of the Finance and Control Department in the SOS Children's Villages in Palestine, Ghada Harazallah.
Go Solar project aims to establish a solar cell power system to serve the SOS Children's Village in Bethlehem with a total operating capacity of 124 kilowatts as part of the pursuit of clean and environmentally friendly energy sources.
The agreement, initiated by the Palestinian Automobile Company and Hyundai, is in line with the company's vision and commitment to core values, as well as maintaining a qualitative role in its social responsibility towards the community by supporting vital sectors such as the environment, education and health.
"We are proud to support the SOS Children's Village in Palestine as part of our social responsibility," said Nader Hawari, Chief Executive Officer of the Palestinian Automobile Company. "Creating a power generation system based on natural resources and international standards which will contribute to positive impact on the village, regarding saving electricity or achieving sustainability and independence in relying on self-generated sources of electricity. "
For her part, Ghada Hirzallah, Director of the Department of Finance and control, commended this initiative by the company, pointing out that an environmentally friendly solar system serving the children's village in Bethlehem is important and necessary and will achieve many advantages, in addition that this step encourages other Palestinian companies and institutions to support SOS Children’s Villages and contribute to providing a safe environment for children.
The Palestinian Automobile Company was established in 1996 and is one of the investments of the Arab Palestinian Investment Company (APIC). SOS Children's Villages Palestine considers this project one of the largest pilot projects in its history, which will contribute to supporting the work of SOS Children's Village in Bethlehem and the service of children in SOS families.
