Youth Houses

There are eight Youth houses in Palestine: four in Bethlehem and four in Gaza.

The youth houses are meant as semi-independent housing for SOS children from ages 14 to 18. During this time, youth learn the skills and capacities needed to live on their own after high school graduation, find a career, and become contributing members of society.

There are 2 youth houses for boys and 2 youth houses for girls in Bethlehem, a total number of 59 youths. Also there are 2 youth houses for boys and 2 youth houses for girls in Gaza, a total number of 58 youths.

Every youth house has a youth leader who plays a key role in guiding the youth in their individual development.

The youth participate in several orientation and awareness programmes. They also participate in voluntary community service, for example Diabetics Friend Society, Cancer Friend Society, Blindness Society, Ministry of Education and Summer Camps.
