Arab Bank recently renewed its collaboration agreement with SOS Children's Villages Palestine, which for this year includes providing additional support through sponsoring two homes in the village. This comes as part of the bank's belief in the importance of providing ongoing support for social initiatives aimed at providing care and a decent life for children without family care, as part of the Arab Bank's social responsibility program "Together".
This support includes providing basic needs such as education, clothing, food, health care, psychological care, and the daily expenses for a year for two homes in the village. Each home has approximately seven children, and they are provided with alternative care and family support services to enable them to become independent and active members of society.
Ghada Alissa/Hirzallah, the National Director of SOS Children's Villages, expressed her pride in the strategic partnership that has linked the organization with the Arab Bank since 2012, which enables SOS Children's Villages to continue providing alternative family care services, including care, food security, housing, education, healthcare, psychological care, economic empowerment, protection, and community integration for children who lost family care.
Mr. Jamal Hourani, Arab Bank's Country Manager for Palestine, explained that the renewal of this agreement highlights the bank's commitment to supporting meaningful and effective community initiatives, particularly those focused on supporting children without care, helping them achieve a dignified life and a promising future. This is accomplished in cooperation with SOS Children's Villages in Palestine, which has a proven track record in achieving this goal.
It's worth noting that the Arab Bank has adopted a comprehensive and integrated strategy for sustainability and social responsibility, that reflects the bank's commitment to enhancing its economic, social, and environmental impact by working closely with various stakeholders to achieve sustainable development.
The Arab Bank's social responsibility program "Together,” represents one of the outcomes of this approach. It is a multifaceted program focused on contributing to the development and growth of various aspects of society through diverse initiatives and activities that serve several sectors, including health, poverty alleviation, environmental protection, education, orphan support, and women's empowerment.
