Arab Bank has recently renewed its partnership agreement with SOS Children’s Villages Palestine to sponsor two family houses in the Bethlehem Village. This renewal comes as part of the Bank’s ongoing commitment to supporting social initiatives that provide care and a dignified life for children who have lost parental care. The agreement was signed by Dr. Jamal Hourani, Director of the Palestine Region at Arab Bank, and Ms. Ghada Hirzallah, National Director of SOS Children’s Villages Palestine.
Under the agreement, the Bank will cover all the basic needs of the children residing in the two houses, including education, clothing, food, as well as health and psychological care, in addition to all other operational expenses for a full year.
Commenting on this initiative, Dr. Jamal Hourani emphasized that renewing this partnership aligns with Arab Bank’s corporate social responsibility strategy, which focuses on supporting less fortunate groups through collaboration with active community organizations; particularly those dedicated to supporting children who have lost parental care — in order to help secure them a decent life and a better future. He noted that SOS Children’s Villages Palestine is one of the key organizations playing an effective role in this field, with a long-standing record of providing care and support to this vulnerable group.
For her part, Ms. Hirzallah expressed her gratitude to Arab Bank for renewing this cooperation, which contributes to enhancing the organization’s work and services and expanding the number of beneficiaries across its programs, at a time when the local community is in great need of solidarity and resource mobilization to support the most vulnerable and affected groups.
