SOS Children's Villages Palestine Achieves Federation-Wide Safeguarding Milestone

SOS Children's Villages Palestine is proud to announce the successful completion of the federation-wide "Zero Tolerance in Action: Closing the Gap" 90-day campaign, achieving full implementation of the Federation's Big 5 Safeguarding Actions.

This achievement confirms that the essential safeguarding measures are fully in place across our association, including:

1-A comprehensive Code of Conduct and Safeguarding Framework commitment.
2-A fully established Incident Management Team (IMT).
3-Mandatory safeguarding training for relevant personnel.
4-Accessible and trusted safeguarding reporting mechanisms.
5-Safeguarding risk assessments and mitigation plans integrated into our work.

We are honored to be among 85 Member Associations across the SOS Children's Villages Federation to successfully complete all campaign requirements and receive the official Certificate of Completion.

"Safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do. This recognition reflects our ongoing commitment to creating safe environments where children, young people, families, colleagues, volunteers, partners, and community members are protected, respected, and empowered. It also reinforces our culture of accountability, integrity, and zero tolerance for any form of abuse, exploitation, harassment, or neglect.". Reflected Mrs. Ghada Hirzallah, National Director.

While this certificate marks an important milestone, safeguarding is an ongoing commitment. We will continue to strengthen our systems, build staff capacity, listen to those we serve, and ensure that safeguarding remains embedded in every aspect of our programs and operations.
