SOS Children's Villages Palestine organized a recreational and educational summer camp for 131 children from the West Bank and the Gaza evacuated program to Bethlehem, alongside 30 caregivers and staff members from SOS Children's Village Bethlehem. The camp aimed to provide a safe and supportive environment that combined recreation, learning, and opportunities to strengthen family relationships through a two-week program delivered in groups.

The camp featured a diverse range of interactive activities, recreational events, and awareness sessions tailored to different age groups. Children participated in psychosocial support sessions, arts and creative workshops, and group games, in addition to sessions on digital safety, child protection, and children's rights. Adolescents took part in discussions on future planning, stress management, conflict resolution, and life skills development. The program also included joint sessions that brought children and caregivers together to strengthen positive communication and build trust.

The camp provided children and caregivers with the opportunity to spend meaningful time together through recreational activities, swimming, and family evenings, helping to reduce psychological stress, foster a sense of safety and belonging, and create positive shared memories that contribute to the quality of alternative care.

The camp is part of SOS Children's Villages Palestine's ongoing efforts to support the mental health and well-being of children and caregivers, while strengthening the quality of alternative care through activities that combine awareness, empowerment, and recreation, ensuring a supportive environment where children can grow and develop in safety and stability.
