SOS Children’s Villages Palestine has commenced rehabilitation works on the road leading to the SOS Children’s Village camp, in cooperation with Khan Younis Municipality. The project covers a total length of 1,100 meters and comes as part of the organization’s ongoing efforts to improve access for families and children to the camp, its safe spaces, and the near Teaching and Learning Space of SOS Children’s Villages.

The current works include road leveling and adjusting street elevations, as well as widening sections that experienced side collapses, which had narrowed the road in certain areas due to severe weather conditions and repeated demolitions.

This road is considered a vital route in the area, as it serves residents, displaced people, vehicles, and several relief organizations. It also facilitates the entry and exit of water tankers supplying clean water to families living in tents, making its rehabilitation an essential step toward improving traffic flow and ensuring safer movement for all.
