SOS Children's Villages Palestine signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Universal Education Foundation (UEF) to establish a three-year joint cooperation. The agreement was signed by SOS Children's Villages Director Ghada Hirzallah and UEF Executive Director Dr. Asaad Ramlawi. 

In an atmosphere filled with hope for a better future, the children in SOS Children's Villages welcomed Christmas with an event titled "Celebrating the Joy of Christmas with Children," organized by the European Union in Palestine. The event included a "Wish Tree" activity, where children shared their wishes and dreams, which held great hopes, such as ending the war in Gaza, returning to their homes, and living in peace. Some dreamed of becoming a soccer player, a pilot, a lawyer, or a doctor. These wishes reflected the aspirations of a generation striving for a more just and stable future.

The Arab Palestinian Investment Company (APIC) and SOS Children's Villages Palestine have renewed their strategic partnership through the signing of a new three-year agreement

A total of 68 children from the SOS Children’s Village Rafah in Gaza as well as 11 employees of the SOS Children’s Villages and their families have been evacuated.

On 28th of May, 245 people were urgently evacuated from the SOS Children's Village in Rafah to the central Gaza Strip due to a dramatically heightened security risk at the location of the Children´s Village.

265 people - children, caregivers, and staff - had to relocate from the SOS Children's Village in Rafah at the end of May 2024 and have since lived in tented encampments in southern and central Gaza.
